The CPD Zone is the culmination of Phil and Davina’s efforts to create a world class event for architects and providers alike.

Meet the Team

Phil O’Connor
Managing Director, previously MD of CPD London
During a 25 year IT Consultancy career, Phil focused on developing relationships between big businesses to help them work together to achieve success.

Phil created and nurtured a niche area of expertise in educating colleagues on how to understand and sell complex software through simple messages – less is more has never been so apt.

Phil next moved on to the building industry, taking on a Business Development role within Camden Council’s Building Control team in London.

Again, he excelled at creating new service offerings and raising awareness. Phil’s relationship with Architects, Builders, Construction Companies, Developers and other professionals within the industry grew and grew. Using education as a key focal point, he established a series of lunchtime ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions with architects visiting the Camden offices to receive Continuous Professional Development (CPD) from registered providers.

After a few years, Phil left Camden and set up his own business, CPD London, www.cpdlondon.uk to focus on bringing new and innovative products, techniques and services to architects by providing regular CPD events. The success of this coupled with the huge appetite for specifiers to make the most of their evening by networking, socialising and earning CPD points resulted in what you have now.

Davina Lines

Event Director, and MD of Event Peach www.eventpeach.co.uk

Davina is already a successful Managing Director of Mixing Digital www.mixingdigital.co.uk and the Ecommerce Club www.ecommerceclub.org bringing a wealth of knowledge to this role.

In previous roles Davina launched the Ecommerce Club a peer-to-peer networking and learning group for retail marketers and ecommerce practitioners which is supported by a group of Founding Partners. Davina co-founded Netimperative in 1999 and became Managing Director in 2002, stewarding the brand into new product launches and creating one of the most successful event programmes in the digital marketing industry. In the mid-90s Davina cut her digital teeth on New Media Age, forming part of the founding team and was responsible for the commercial development of the magazine and its early events from launch in 1995 to 1999.

When it comes to managing events, there is nobody else we would trust to look after our architects and specifiers. Davina and Phil know what it is like for somebody to give up their free time to attend training sessions and are always looking to make this sacrifice as painless as possible – in fact, they are always on the lookout to make it a positively entertaining few hours!
